Six to nine months babies
By now babies coordination can have developed enough for them to be able
to strike an object (such as drum) with some control, and they will enjoy
hitting one object against another.
Your baby will be learning that he or she is the one in control of some activities
and can choose when to start and when to stop. Babies of these age will also start
to explore objects properly with thier hands and fingers as a well as with their mouths.
Toys to consider:
• musical instruments toys, especially drums
• toys that 'react' if you press the button or push a lever
• toys flaps or lids that can be opened and closed.
